Three Year Update

Hi All, I just wanted to post a quick update. I wish I could say I am recovered, but just not there yet. However, I am much improved. I was a wreck, and like many of you, feared for my life. I was lucky enough to end up at Mayo Clinic where I was able to receive incredible care (even though they would not admit my illness was from botox). I have had to battle every day to rebuild my body. It’s been really hard, but I have seen improvement with time and care. Hang in there! Wishing you well.

  1. Hi Luna, Glad to hear you are feeling a little better and I hope you are 100% recovered very soon. What has helped with your symptoms and rebuilding your body.

    1. Hi Kris, if you look back at my previous posts, I listed much of what helped me improve. In short though; pycnogenol, midrodine, lots of vitamins, acupuncture, I also had the greater and lower saphenous veins in both legs ablated. Lots of water, exercise, and patience;)

    2. So, I was doing pretty well. Now I’m experiencing old symptoms with a vengeance. The only thing I can point to is a recent purchase of green juices ( kale, spinach, pear ginger etc). Why would this trigger a relapse??? Any ideas?

      1. is there a pesticide possibly on the greens? are they certified organic. The post-botulism body is extremely sensitive to medicines, prescriptions, toxins, chemicals, etc.

    1. It was more of proper care than “treatment”. I was quickly tested for several disorders including any autoimmune diseases‚Äč. I was also tested by endocrinology, gastroenterology, neurology, and cardiology. I was given biofeedback through psychiatry. I was placed on the proper medication s to help me function and referred to vascular surgery to improve function and circulation. Autonomic reflex screening indicated impaired autonomic function. I was diagnosed with POTS and we went from there.

      1. Ok I was recently diagnosed with neurologic lymes, bartonella and babesis. I have an active epstien bar virus and my white blood cells dont detect biotoxins or viruses.Im glad you are getting the help you need. Clearly I have some other things going on. Did they say what predispositions you had prior to the tox?It sounds like your bloodwork was pretty good. Sorry for not spell checking!
