It has been 5 years since my last entry to confirm my recovery. I am still healthy and had no relapses. I often remember the difficult times I had to go through and appreciate the good health.
I wish you all strength and speedy recovery
İt has been a long while since I have posted an update on the forum
I had the injection in 2010 and now pleased to say that I am fully recovered. It has been almost 12 months I have been symptom free so hung in there it is a slow process but you will all get back to your normalselves
This website is the only support I had so once again thank you Anette and Cameron for setting this up
Wishing you all rapid recovery.
It has been a long while since I have put an update. Now 30 months since I had the botox and I am pleased to say that I am almost having a normal healthy life. Having said that I am not the same as before the botox but almost there and so glad that I have imroved alot now having a normal life
I still get very mild effects just before my period mainly slight leg pain and headache but goes away after a day it only happens every 2 or 3 months which is managable and does not bother me much
I read on the forum about smoking cigaretes helping insomnia. It is intresting I have always been a social smoker and I started to smoke more about a year ago then gave up alltogether. Within 3 months of giving up smoking the insomnia returned I kind of felt that it was related to lack of nicotine so I started back a couple of cigaretes a day and sleep better without waking up at all. Now it has been 6 months and I am almost symptom free apart from the mild leg pain and head aches accosionally. I have just giving up smoking now would be interesting to see if insomnia returns hope not!!
Lastly I would like to say that things get better in time and you will all regain your health back again just hang in there and do not give up.
I it has been 20 months since I had the botox injections. I have been waiting to update you with a full recovery but still getting some symptoms though they are mild and managable.
I had last February and March almost symptom free but in April symptoms returned this could be because I started drinking alcohol and having late nights thinking I was recovered. I found alcohol especially wine is triggering the head pressure and full ear symptoms dispate this I still have a little drink when I go out with my friends because I want to have a normal life…
Last year I was suffering from severe head aches almost as if I had a lot to drink a night before and suffering from hangover. I saw a neurologist who diagnosed my symptoms as botox induced atypical migraine. However I had no migraine type head aches nor hangover feeling over a 6 months now
I havent been taken any medications only had Remeron 15 mg at the beginning for about a month and it rescued me from the severe anxiety, insomnia and weird head pressure. Right now I am having more better days then off days and when I feel the symptoms I am trying not to think about it although some days I feel so frustrated and fed up I want to feel normal as I was before the botox.
I just like to update you on the main symptoms:
Insomnia: Improved a lot but still waking up in the middle of the night at times (2-3 times per month) and fighting to get back to sleep but overall all sleep about 6-7 hours without any medication
Brain fog/head pressure: This is still bothering me a little, it tends to come before my period and feels like head muscle contraction like a pressure band sitting at the top of my head that is causing the weird head ache. I found deep breathing and relaxation exercise very helpful. I also use peppermint oil to massage the scalp which is also easing the contraction.
Leg pain: Pain around my lower leg near ankles feels like as if there is no circulation and feels numb. This is the main problem for me, it intensified after the 15 months but comes and goes. This is usually the sign of getting another cycle and only last about a few days
Lastly I just like to say that have been following the site almost daily and it really brings tears to my eyes to see more people are joining the site with the same nightmare. My heart goes out to the ones who are at the beginning of this ordeal…just hang in there do not loose your hope and faith things will get better in time..
And thank you Annette for setting up this website I started to believe I was not in sane and recover after finding this forum!!
I will continue updating you and praying for for all of us to find recovery very soon..
Firstaval I would like to say that I am so pleased to find this website I feel already relieved.
I had botox 11 months ago and my life has been hell since. Reading your personal profiles I have exactly the same symptoms and still suffering despite it has been almost a year. I lost confidence in all medical professionals as they do not listen to m
